The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role manages employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR policy administration. The HR Manager serves as a strategic partner to leadership and a trusted resource for employees, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
This is a temporary position with the opportunity to come onboard full time following a three-to-six-month assignment.
- Develop, implement, and manage HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with organizational objectives and legal requirements.
- Partner with the recruitment team with selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, succession management, and organizational development initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations, union labor relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, including benchmarking and vendor relationships.
- Coordinate employee and management training, development, and engagement initiatives to strengthen skills and improve retention.
- Lead HR projects such as policy reviews, system implementations, and culture-building programs.
- Maintain accurate HR records, prepare reports, and analyze HR metrics to drive data-based decision-making.
- Supervise and develop HR staff to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification such as PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.- Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Demonstrated success in employee relations, union labor relations, recruitment, and performance management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

This position requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking on normal surfaces. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, reaching overhead, and bending may be required. Fine motor skills and repetitive hand motions are used daily for typing and handling equipment. The work is performed primarily in an office environment with occasional exposure to warehouse or outdoor conditions.
