POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Manager will oversee all HR functions at UTI, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, and compliance. This role will also direct administrative staff in managing office operations, ensuring that office functions are carried out efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong HR background, be capable of developing and executing HR strategies, and possess the leadership skills to guide a high-performing workforce while ensuring smooth office operations.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with UTI’s corporate goals and core values.
- Lead organizational development initiatives to foster a positive, productive work culture and drive employee engagement.
- Facilitate change management processes as UTI grows, ensuring smooth transitions during periods of change.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job descriptions, job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
- Implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent, ensuring UTI remains competitive in the natural gas industry.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff on employee relations, performance, and conflict resolution.
- Manage employee conflicts or disciplinary issues fairly and professionally, maintaining confidentiality.
- Promote a positive company culture by organizing team-building events, recognition programs, and other employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, annual reviews, and continuous feedback.
- Guide managers on effective performance evaluations and performance improvement plans.
- Coordinate training programs that promote career growth, technical skills, and leadership development.
- Collaborate with leadership to design and manage competitive compensation and benefits packages.
- Administer payroll, benefits programs, and employee leave, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Regularly evaluate compensation data to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Keep current with changes in employment law and recommend necessary policy updates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee files, training records, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor key HR metrics and provide senior leadership with actionable insights into turnover, engagement, and performance trends.
- Prepare and present HR-related reports to leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Direct administrative staff in managing office operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of office equipment, supplies, and administrative tasks.
- Oversee and guide administrative staff to ensure effective execution of office tasks aligned with company objectives.
- Maintain office budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising office functionality.
- Organize and coordinate company events, meetings, and team-building activities to promote employee morale and engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, focusing on employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices, particularly in consulting or professional services.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that improve employee engagement and drive business results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive employee information.
- Proficiency with HR software systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decision-making.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly desirable.
- Experience in the natural gas, energy, or consulting industries is a plus.
