PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Develops Human Resources policies and programs for the Company. The major areas covered are organizational planning and development, employment, indoctrination and training, compensation, benefits, safety and health, employee services, and internal/external communications. Originates policies and procedure with objectives that will provide a balanced program throughout the Company while maintaining compliance with all Quality Certification requirements.
· Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
· Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
· Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analysis compensation, monitors performance evaluation program and revises, as necessary.
· Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures, prepares, and maintains handbook on policies and procedures, performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness, cash flow.
· Develops and maintains affirmative action program; file EEO-1 annually, maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
· Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations, monitors career pathing program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling; and exit interviewing; writes and places advertisements.
· Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.
· Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
· Performs other duties as required and assigned.
· Responsible for the management of the department's personnel and activities to meet department and company objectives. This includes identifying training that is needed for department employees.
· Keeps General Manager informed of significant problems that jeopardize the
achievement of objectives, and those which are not being addressed adequately.
1. A bachelor’s degree and five (5) years’ Human Resources experience, or equivalent work experience.
3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
5. Experience with Kronos UKG ready payroll system
6. Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
