As our organization continues to grow, we’re seeking a capable, strategic HR Specialist to take over core HR responsibilities.
Position Summary
Ashworth Awards is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to manage key HR functions that support our commitment to a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. This role serves as the bridge between employees and leadership—ensuring alignment between organizational goals and team needs. You’ll take ownership of recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations while fostering a strong, supportive culture across the company.
Responsibilities
•Lead daily HR operations, acting as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and policy implementation.
•Serve as the administrator and internal champion of our HRIS system (Insperity Premier currently); maintain data integrity and optimize usage.
•Recruit top talent across departments by managing job postings, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and partnering with hiring managers.
•Facilitate seamless onboarding experiences for new hires, ensuring paperwork, systems access, and training processes are completed efficiently.
•Maintain employee records and ensure documentation is compliant with federal and state employment laws.
•Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee communications in collaboration with Insperity.
•Track attendance, PTO, and leave, and support payroll processing through accurate data entry and reporting.
•Uphold company culture by promoting a positive, professional, and inclusive work environment.
•Stay up to date on HR trends, employment laws, and best practices; provide guidance to leadership on policy updates and compliance needs.
•Participate in or lead organizational development (OD) initiatives, including training, engagement efforts, and performance management practices.
Requirements
•Equivalent HR experience may be considered in place of formal education.
•6+ years in an HR generalist or specialist role, preferably in a small to mid-size business.
•Experience with Insperity Premier and/or NetSuite is a strong plus. Experience with HR software or PEO platforms at the least is required.
•High attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
•Professional communication skills and a confidential, tactful approach to sensitive matters.
•Ability to work independently, prioritize projects, and make process improvements.
•A team-oriented mindset with a desire to improve employee experience at all levels, while maintaining current budgets and company alignment.
•SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is a plus.
