Job Description
• Negotiate oil and gas leases and related agreements to secure favorable terms
• Manage complex land assignments
• Chain mineral and working interest title using public and private records
• Maintain accurate records of land, contract and revenue data using specialized software
• Calculate and verify complex divisions of interest for non-operated properties
• Navigate and conduct research using commercial and regulatory websites (RRC, OCC, Enverus, etc.)
• Prepare county and basin-wide analysis of ownership and lease status for management
• Utilize Microsoft Office suite to produce spreadsheets, correspondence, and presentations
• Assist with due diligence of acquisitions and divestitures as needed
• Resolve accounting issues as needed
Education and qualifications
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in oil and gas land work
• Bachelor’s degree with a preference of Energy Commerce, Energy Management or other AAPL accredited program
• Proficient in using the full Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel
• RPL/CPL designation preferred
• Permian Basin experience preferred
• Mineral management experience is a plus
• Experience utilizing DocVue and LandWorks is a plus
• Division order knowledge and experience is a plus
