About the Role
This individual will serve as the face of Maverick Power to our internal customers and interface with all departments to develop and deliver human resources policies and procedures that drive operational efficiency and engagement. You will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s employee relations, compensation, and benefits programs. Includes developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain top talent, as well as managing the budget for these programs. Works closely with senior leadership and other HR team members to ensure that the organization’s total rewards packages are competitive and aligned with business goals.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
•Oversee employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling and interpretation of policies
•Responsible for launching an ethics reporting tool, investigating workplace situations, and creating a program around employee wellness and engagement
•Improve HR policies to improve team relationships and oversee management of controversial and sensitive staff issues. Partners with human resources business partners on corrective actions and performance issues
•Support multiple locations with DOL – Labor Laws
•Partner with safety team on incident reports and workers compensation
•Responsible for conducting exit interviews
•Responsible for establishing and launching Maverick Power’s Total Rewards Program and compensation strategy and philosophy
•Review and analyze wage and salary reports and data to establish competitive compensation plans
•Assists with the operational management of reward opportunities available to employees that align with the organization’s goals, budgets, and expectations.
•Research benefits offerings and recommend options to stay competitive in the workplace
•Responsible for communicating changes in benefit programs to employees, including open enrollment schedules
•Responsible for overseeing partnership with our benefits provider
What You Bring
•Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of HR Generalist experience including a combination of employee relations, compensation, and benefits
•Education: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of experience in Human Resources or related field
•Skills: Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including employment law, Affirmative Action, and EEO compliance, and employee relations. Thorough understanding of Total Reward Programs and Benefits to employees (410k, medical, dental, vision, PTO, vacation, FMLA/LOA policies, disability, life insurance, etc.)

Physical Requirements
•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
Work Environment
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
