About the Role:
As the Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for recruitment, on/off-boarding, employee relations, company policy and procedure compliance, performance management and all HR programs.
- Act as primary point of contact to all managers and employees of the company in regard to HR matters.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment including interviews, employment contracts and salary negotiations, and on-boarding.
- Manage employee records and ensure compliance.
- Manage annual performance review process with department managers and executive team.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures. Complete annual reviews and updates of polices as needed.
- Implement staff engagement, appreciation and employee recognition activities.
- Manage off-boarding, voluntary and involuntary terminations of employment.
- Manage payroll processing for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Process company contributions to the Canadian Pension Plan for employees.
- Conduct regular salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation and compliance with legislation such as the Pay Equity Act.
- Manage Workers Compensation Claims
- Address employee concerns and issues, investigate complaints and resolve workplace conflicts.
- Manage employee benefits.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- CPHR preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a Human Resource role with at least 2 years in a management position.
- Ability to multitask and work in a high-volume environment while meeting deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
- Ability to lead, prioritize and organize work effectively.
- Familiar with overall functions of HRIS platforms.
