OxEon Energy is hiring a HR Manager to oversee the day-to-day, planning, and overall operations of the human resources department of a fast growing small business. This position requires a detail oriented individual, capable of mitigating risk for the company while support employees to work their best. The position will be in charge of developing HR processes, job descriptions, and hiring practices for OxEon as the organization transitions from R&D to full scale manufacturing. Input on department formation, company organization, and roles and responsibilities will be a key objective in the near term.

- Supports organizational growth by aligning HR strategies with business objectives, helping to build a scalable and sustainable workforce that meets evolving company needs.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resources and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, or sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and handling terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include the development of job descriptions, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants—particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creating and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Guides department heads through gap analyses to determine hiring needs and skills shortages.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to ensure compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Compiles important and engaging information for the company newsletter and HR initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Work in office, R&D laboratories, and manufacturing environments
- A minimum of five years of human resource generalist or management experience preferred.
- Comfort in heading an HR department for a rapidly growing small business
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred Experience Requirements:
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, and SPHR
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field.
Preferred Educations Requirements:
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field.
