Position Overview:
The HRIS Specialist assists in the routine maintenance of worker records, answers general personnel inquiries, conducts onboarding, offboarding and various administrative tasks to support the HR function at the direction of department leadership. The individual in this position will be required to work collaboratively across all functions of HR and need to be comfortable communicating directly with managers and employees.
Responsibilities:•Managing HR activities according to established guidelines and sound administrative practices
•Maintain employment records as needed in Workday system
•Level 1 support for general HR inquiries with escalation to Subject Matter Experts
•Assist with compliance related reporting (EEO-1, BLS)
•Support manager inquiries and provide guidance on system navigation and transaction initiation
•Intake for HR helpdesk and cataloging calls and inquiries
•Provide HR systems update testing support
•Collaborate with other HR stakeholders during high volume events (open enrollment, audits, systems updates)
•Assist in developing quick reference guides and instructional materials for system navigation and transaction management
•Manage new hire onboarding and related employment activities (I-9 etc.)
•Serve as a point of contact for general HR inquiries
Experience and Qualifications Required:
Required Education and Experience:
•3+ years of related HR experience
•Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
•Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
•Highly organized and conveys time-management skills
•Ability to prioritize and mange time effectively
•Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
•Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Preferred Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
•PHR or SHRM-CP certification
•Experience with Workday or other HCM systems
•Experience in the oil and gas industry or similar industrial environments
•Experience in streamlining processes and creation of process maps or documents
