The HR Generalist supports day‑to‑day human resources operations and ensures the smooth execution of HR processes across the employee lifecycle. This role serves as a trusted advisor and works closely with employees and management to provide guidance, resolve issues, and maintain a positive and compliant workplace.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to employees and leaders.
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints, conflicts, and workplace concerns in a fair and timely manner.
- Advise managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure compliance.
- Assist in developing and implementing employee relations programs, policies, and training.
- Partner with HR colleagues to analyze trends and recommend solutions that support engagement and retention.
- Support HR managers in planning, coordinating, and delivering required HR compliance trainings, ensuring materials are up to date, attendance is tracked, and completion records are accurately maintained.
- Support management in the development of employees including coaching and mentoring
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations case documentation.
- Support workplace culture initiatives to foster inclusion, trust, and accountability.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams as needed on sensitive or complex cases.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in HR, business, Employee Relations, or related field preferred; HR certification (SHRM-CP or similar) preferred
- 3+ years with a broad-based HR generalist background- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
- Experience using HRIS/Payroll Systems, ADP preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
