Provides assistance in overall Human Resources with focus on benefits administration, new hire orientation, training programs and other Human Resources related duties. Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager on all personnel matters and assists with payroll processing.
Position responsibilities:
•Assistance with Department of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training administration
•Assist with the creation, maintenance and tracking of training opportunities provided to employees
•Tracks and maintains employee state and city electrical licensing information and ensures accuracy
•Conducts bi-weekly new hire orientation
•Assist with the Veterans Administration on the job training program
•Supports emoployees by answering employee requests and questions
•Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current
•Assist HR Manager with administration of benefits, correspondence, and billing administration
•Assists HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects
•Prepares new employee files and handles employee paperwork
•Performs other duties as assigned
