Latva Machine, a recognized leader in the Aerospace, Military, Microchip and Undersea supply chain is seeking highly qualified candidates for the Human Resources Director position. Our precision machined products are used in many critical markets worldwide.
This position creates, guides, and manages the company’s policies and programs as they apply to employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance, development and staffing levels. The Human Resources Manager will report to the Vice President.
The Human Resources Director works in close partnership with the Controller to ensure continuity of operations and mutual support across HR and finance functions. This role includes cross-training and shared responsibilities in designated areas, allowing each position to provide backup coverage during absences such as vacations, and to enhance overall efficiency when both are present. The Human Resources Director is expected to develop a working knowledge of essential financial and administrative tasks.

· Lead all recruiting, orientation, and onboarding efforts
· Ensure legal compliance throughout the human resources management
· Maintain Employee Handbook and create new initiatives
· Lead all Safety Initiatives, Policies and Investigations
· Process weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
·Cross train on Controller functions such as Accounts Payable and reporting
· Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field; or equivalent experience
· Ability to work autonomously with little supervision
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
Must be professional, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability to handle sensitive, confidential situations.
Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
