As we continue to grow, we're seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Director who can lead our people-operations and manage complex payroll processes across our diverse organizational structure.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced HR Director with a deep understanding of both human resources strategy and multi-entity payroll operations. This role is vital to ensuring smooth HR functions across our sites and offices, while also guaranteeing payroll accuracy, compliance, and timeliness for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

•

Lead all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance across multiple business entities.

•

Manage and process multi-entity payroll, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

•

Maintain and update HR policies and procedures that align with industry regulations and company values.

•

Advise senior leadership on HR trends, workforce planning, compensation strategies, and organizational development.

•

Serve as a key point of contact for labor law compliance, workers' compensation, and safety-related HR matters in collaboration with the Safety Director.

•

Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

•

Manage current HRIS and payroll systems to streamline processes and ensure reporting accuracy.

•

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure secure handling of sensitive information.

Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.

•

Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in construction or a related field.

•

Strong experience processing payroll; experience of processing payroll across multiple entities is a plus

•

Familiarity with construction-specific HR challenges such as remote job sites, hourly trades, and subcontractor coordination.

•

Solid understanding of labor law, OSHA standards, workers’ compensation, and benefits administration.

•

Proficient in HRIS/payroll systems.

•

Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
