Human Resources Coordinator

The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources function at our production facility, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with labor agreements and supporting hourly and salary workforce needs. This role plays a key part in recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, training coordination, records management, and day-to-day HR administration. The ideal candidate brings professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a unionized industrial setting.

Responsibilities include:

· Assist in recruiting hourly and salaried plant personnel, including job postings, screenings, interview coordination, and background checks.

· Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring understanding of company policies and union contract provisions.

· Support administration of the collective bargaining agreement, including handling grievances and maintaining accurate labor relations records.

· Maintain organized and confidential employee files (paper and electronic), ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.

· Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, attendance, and contract interpretation.

· Coordinate and manage employee benefits administration, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and other voluntary benefits.

· Organize and support the annual open enrollment process; assist employees with benefit selections, questions, and issue resolution.

· Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure timely communication with benefit providers and third-party administrators.

· Track and manage employee attendance, corrective actions, and progressive discipline in coordination with supervisors and HR leadership.

· Support training initiatives and compliance tracking (e.g., safety, required certifications).

· Oversee the administration and coordination of the plant’s apprenticeship program, including registration, tracking of progress, coordination with training providers, and communication with union leadership and mentors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
