HSE Coordinator

The position of HSE Coordinator will primarily be responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of safety, health, and environmental (HSE) plans, policies, procedures, and compliance programs in the Pipeline Construction industry. The candidate should be able to support the site’s management team with strategic HSE planning and program development to further improve the site’s HSE performance.

- Strong understanding in the midstream or oil & gas industry, PHMSA

- Support site management in implementing corporate HSE programs.

- Responsible for HSE compliance which includes adhering to local, state, and federal regulations while complying with customers' policies and procedures.

- Ensure daily risk assessments (JSAs), inspection forms, and other required documentation are completed.

- Conduct periodic HSE audits and prepare audit reports.

- Drive continuous improvement of the HSE performance for the operations through Baywater's BBS programs.

- Prepare reports for operations management as needed.

- Maintain worksite SDS program.

- Deploy communication resources; pre-job talks, prestart communications, and safety alerts

- Assist with all incident investigations and required documentation.

- DOT OQ Evaluator or willing to become an evaluator

Required Skills

- Safety, Environmental Management qualifications or equivalent.

- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT PHMSA regulations.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

- Ability to use a computer with basic Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Bilingual is preferred

This position is an office based position with a moderate amount of time spent in the field at jobsites. Some travel is required that may include outside areas of the San Juan Basin, Arizona, Utah, and West Texas Permian Basin.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
