The HR Manager at our manufacturing plant is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws. This role ensures the smooth operation of HR practices to support the plant's business objectives and foster a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in HR within a manufacturing or industrial setting, strong communication skills, and a dedication to maintaining a productive and compliant workplace.
Responsibilities:
HR Strategy and Planning:
•Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the plant's overall objectives and company values.
•Collaborate with management to identify HR needs and proactively propose solutions.
•Employee Recruitment and Onboarding:
•Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for various roles.
•Coordinate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth assimilation into the plant's culture and work environment.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
•Act as a mediator to resolve employee conflicts and grievances in a fair and impartial manner.
•Implement initiatives to foster employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
Training and Development:
•Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the workforce.
•Implement career development plans to support employee growth and succession planning.
Performance Management:
•Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback.
•Collaborate with department managers to address performance-related issues and implement improvement plans.
Compliance and Legal:
•Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
•Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
Health and Safety:
•Collaborate with the Safety Director and Facility Safety Committee to promote a safe work environment and adherence to safety protocols.
•Assist in handling worker's compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
Benefits Administration:
•Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
•Communicate benefit information to employees and address inquiries as needed.
Requirements:
Requirements:
•Proven experience (3-5 years) as an Sr. HR Generalist or HR Manager. Manufacturing setting a plus.
•Thorough knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
•Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
•Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and training.
•Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
•Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
