General Summary:
Responsible for administering all hourly and salary team member benefits, while complying with HIPAA regulations, and perform other duties within the human resources function.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:•Health and safety of all team members.
•Administer all the company’s benefits for hourly and salary team members.
•Investigate and resolve insurance claim issues and communicate solutions to team members in easy-to-understand concepts.
•Coordinate the annual health risk assessments.
•Perform benefit orientations and communicate with team members to ensure that they are informed about their benefits procedures and changes.
•Coordinate and oversee company events.
•Coordinate team member reward and recognition programs (team member of the month, perfect attendance, service awards, etc...)
•Implement and promote the Company’s policies and procedures.
•Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and standards.
•Coordinate completion of performance reviews, attendance disciplinary notices, and attendance/vacation update reports for hourly team members.
•Process and administer employees’ time off requests.
•Process and distribute mail.
•Coordinate business luncheons and refreshments.
•Serve as a backup for the payroll coordinator.
•Assist the Human Resources Manager in other human resource functions/projects.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
•Proficient knowledge of PC software applications including Word, Excel, and mainframe software.
•Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Working knowledge of human resource policies, practices, and procedures along with employment laws.
•Ability to have a high degree of confidentiality.
•Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
•Ability to be multi-tasked, flexible, and able to prioritize projects.
Working Conditions
•The Human Resources Coordinator will reside in the office, however, will be in the plant occasionally. Must be able to adhere to conditions of the plant.
Physical Requirements
•Must be able to remain stationary position 75%
•Must be able to move about inside the office and occasionally in the plant, access file cabinets etc.
•Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printer.
•Must be able to frequently communicate with employees and other individuals in person and telephone.
Education and Experience Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in human resources.
•Minimum of 2-4 years of benefit administration experience.
