HR COORDINATOR

TerraForm Power is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Coordinator to support a range of Human Resources functions across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this role supports HR operations for employees in the New York City headquarters, across the U.S., and a small group in Canada. Key Responsibilities•Support HR Business Partner on day-to-day HR operations, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining employee records.
•Coordinate HR processes and programs across functions including recruitment, benefits, compliance, employee engagement, and learning & development.
•Assist in maintaining and updating data within HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, UKG UltiPro).
•Generate reports and support data analysis using Excel and other reporting tools.
•Create and edit HR documents, presentations, and training materials in PowerPoint.
•Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and HR tools.
•Ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies and employment laws.
•Take ownership of administrative tasks and continuously look for process improvement opportunities.
•Partner with internal teams (Payroll, IT, Legal) to ensure smooth HR operations.
•Support recruitment process through coordination and collaboration with the hiring team and maintain records related to recruitment.
•Liaise with TERP’s functional departments such as Finance, Operations, Legal, IT, Commercial, and Development as well as additional teams in Accounting and Procurement to field questions and resolve day-to-day employee issues.
•Maintain data for all new hires and ensure compliance with company hiring processes
•Assist with annual processes as part of the HR lifecycle. This includes assisting with the annual promotion process, year-end compensation cycle, and annual performance review process.
•Assist with necessary audits to ensure local, state, federal and corporate compliance.
•Participate in and execute other duties and special human resources projects as assigned by supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree preferred but strong technical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset is required.
•Minimum 1 year experience in human resources across multi discipline functions.
•Familiarity with HRIS systems such as UKG UltiPro and SAP Success Factors.
•Recruitment support experience preferred – posting job positions, creating requisitions, and maintaining recruitment tracker
•Basic Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint experience
•Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and ability to work independently in a busy operations environment.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to deliver clear messages, direction and action plans to peers and all management levels of the organization.
•Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation: $70,000-$85,000; bonus eligible
