Job Summary
The HR Coordinator plays a multifaceted role in supporting various HR and payroll functions within the organization. This role will provide administrative support and key project support to the HR Department and employees, and eventually assist in managing payroll activities required in a new HRIS and payroll system Griffin is implementing.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Onboarding and offboarding:
•Assist HR Manager with Coordinating new hire orientation sessions and preparing onboarding materials
•Assist with the completion of new hire paperwork and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
•Facilitate the setup of new employee workstations, IT equipment and access to company systems
•Set up candidates for pre-employment screening
•Facilitate the completion of new hire paperwork, including I-9 verification and employment agreements
•Process employee terminations and save all related documentation electronically in HRIS
HR Administration:
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system, including personal information, employment history, and performance evaluations
•Assist in record review and coordination of document destruction services
•Assist in updating I-9 Records and auditing
•Other ancillary duties as required
Benefits Administration:
•Assist with benefits enrollment processes and providing support to employees with benefits-related inquiries
•Coordinate open enrollment activities and communicating benefit plan changes to employees
•Remind employees to enroll in benefits prior to their eligibility date
Recruiting Assistance:
•Provide weekly updates to hiring managers regarding open applications
•Conduct pre-screenings with candidates to assist hiring managers with recruitment efforts
Employee Relations:
•Escalate employee relations issues to HR management as appropriate
•Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information
•Assist with the resolution of employee inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
•Assist in documentation in the consequence management process
•Assist employees with payroll concerns
•Assist in monthly birthday celebrations and other employee engagement activities
Payroll:
•Train alongside the Accounting Coordinator to understand current payroll processing system (ADP Workforce Now). Also work alongside the HR Manager and Accounting Coordinator to understand demands and functions required in our new HRIS and Payroll system (Pre-Implementation into Insperity). It’s estimated that the payroll workload when switching to Insperity will be 25% of the overall workload.
System Management:
•Maintain records and assist in payroll processed in ADP Workforce Now
•Payroll administration activities with Insperity (Future)
Training and Development:
•Coordinate employee training sessions, workshops, and other development initiatives alongside HR Manager
•Track employee training completions and maintain records

Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree, or some college
•Experience using a payroll processing platform
•Proficient experience using Excel & MS Office Suite
