Overview

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of heavy equipment, farm machinery, and industrial systems. As a key player in maintaining and repairing complex machinery, you will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability across our operations.

Responsibilities

- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment including hydrovac trucks, forklifts, large trucks, and passenger vehicles using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.

- Conduct mechanical repairs such as engine work, transmission servicing, brake repairs, shocks and struts replacement, suspension work, electrical, axle repairs/replacement, pump and vacuum servicing, industrial equipment servicing, and other tasks as assigned.

- Use welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific job requirements.

- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, air brake systems, HVAC units, electrical wiring, and electronic controls to identify issues accurately.

- Maintain detailed service records and complete inspection reports for compliance and future reference.

- Assist with equipment assembly, installation, and preventive maintenance to maximize operational uptime.

- Provide mobile maintenance repair/replacement services as necessary.

Experience

- Proven mechanic experience working with heavy equipment or industrial machinery in a dealership or service environment. Service truck experience is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, pumps, vacuums, and vehicle maintenance procedures.

- Familiarity with schematics reading for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues.

- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings requiring precision work.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
