Diesel Mechanic

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diesel engine maintenance and repair, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on diesel vehicles and equipment

- Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts that may need replacement

- Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and manuals

- Assemble and disassemble engines for repair or maintenance

- Perform air brake system repairs and maintenance

- Provide tire services including replacements, rotations, and repairs

- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed

Skills:

- Proficiency in diesel engine repair and maintenance

- Experience with heavy lifting equipment and tools

- Knowledge of vehicle suspension systems

- Ability to assemble and disassemble mechanical components

- Familiarity with HVAC systems in vehicles

- Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills

- Previous experience working on farm machinery is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
