Diesel Mechanic

Local, family owned business looking to add a diesel mechanic to our continuously growing fleet of diesel trucks.

Summary

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and safety of vehicles and heavy equipment. Reporting to the Head Mechanic/Manager, your core skills in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance will be critical in diagnosing issues and executing repairs. Your premium experience with forklifts and heavy equipment operation will enhance our service capabilities. Additionally, your relevant skills in customer service and welding will contribute to a positive client experience and efficient workshop operations. Requirements

- Previous experience with diesel trucks.

- Must be able to perform physical work under a wide variety of working conditions; weather, noise level, indoor or outdoor, etc.

- Perform preventative maintenance with minimal supervision.

- Perform routine truck repairs including brake work, drive line, engine, transmission and electrical.

- Welding and fabrication.

- Assist in yard and plant maintenance.

- Forklift experience preferred but willing to train.

- CDL license preferred.

- Applicant must have their own tools.

Pay based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
