Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team in our Pecos, TX location! We offer competitive pay, a sign-on bonus and an excellent benefits package!
In this role you will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting on diesel engines and related components
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and electrical components
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts used
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operation
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency
- Respond to emergency service calls when needed- 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience (or equivalent vocational training)
- Certifications related to mechanics are a plus
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Valid driver’s license (preferred, but not required)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
