- Grant reporting and reimbursement: Prepare and review grant reports, compile and track expenditure, reconcile accounts, and ensure reimbursement requests are accurate, timely, and compliant with funding requirements.
- Financial tracking and analysis: Maintain organized, auditable records for all grant activities. Monitor grant budgets, track spending, and ensure funds are used within approved timelines and in accordance with regulations.
- Collaboration and compliance: Work with departments across ECE on pre-and post-award activities. Support grant audits, assist with financial reporting, and communicate with funding agencies and auditors to ensure full compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows, improve tracking systems, and enhance transparency in grant management.
- Support and administration: Compile information for auditors, assist with closing work orders, and perform other accounting functions as needed.
- Education & Experience: High school diploma; preferred two-year degree in accounting, plus a minimum of two years of experience with working knowledge of Rural Utilities Service (RUS) accounting practices, or a combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills with close attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data management. Able to interpret and apply accounting principles, funding regulations, and compliance standards. Skilled at balancing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and communicating clearly across departments. Maintains confidentiality, professionalism, and high ethical standards in all work.
- Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Braham, MN Headquarters building.
- Hybrid Option: This position may offer a hybrid work arrangement after a training period.
