General Laborer

General Laborer – Oil & Gas / Petrochemical

Location: Channelview, Texas (local candidates preferred)

We are hiring dependable General Laborers to support oil & gas and petrochemical projects in the Channelview / Houston area. Work is performed inside active industrial facilities assisting field crews with material handling, site support, cleanup, and general labor duties. Safety is a top priority.

Responsibilities

- General labor: Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, bolts, material handling, staging, housekeeping, and site cleanup

- Assist technicians and skilled trades

- Participate in JSAs and daily safety meetings

- Follow all company and site safety rules

- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Valid TWIC card (required)

- Must be able to access petrochemical plants

- Must pass background screening

- Must pass drug & alcohol testing pre-screening

- Employment will require random drug & alcohol testing

- At least 18 years old

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

- Physically able to perform manual labor (lift up to 50 lbs, stand long periods, bend, climb stairs/ladders)

- Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing

- Comfortable working indoors/outdoors in heat, cold, dust, and noise

- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred (Not Required – Hiring Advantage)

- Oil & gas / industrial / refinery experience

- Mechanically inclined

- Welding-related experience

- Drilling-related experience

- OSHA training

Candidates with mechanical aptitude, welding, or drilling experience may receive priority consideration based on project needs.

Schedule & Details

- Project-based and ongoing work available

- Early starts, overtime, and occasional weekends may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
