General Laborer

General Laborer – MCM Manufacturing

Position Title: General Laborer Location: MCM Manufacturing Department: Production / Shop Operations Reports To: Production Supervisor

Position Summary

MCM Manufacturing is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to support daily shop operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role assists multiple departments including fabrication, welding, machining, finishing, shipping, and general housekeeping. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-minded, and willing to learn new skills while helping keep production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

- Load, unload, and move raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the shop

- Assist machine operators, welders, fabricators, and painters as needed

- Grind, deburr, clean, and prepare parts for production or finishing

- Package, palletize, and prepare orders for shipment

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

- Operate hand tools, power tools, carts, forklifts, or pallet jacks (training provided if needed)

- Help with inventory organization and material storage

- Follow production schedules and supervisor instructions

- Support 5S and continuous improvement efforts

- Perform other shop duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Strong work ethic and positive attitude

- Reliable attendance and punctuality

- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

- Basic mechanical aptitude preferred

- Manufacturing or construction experience is a plus, but not required

- Forklift experience is a plus

- Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

- Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise, dust, and changing temperatures

- Ability to safely perform repetitive tasks

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
