Sandvik Mining has an opening for a Gear Shop 1 in Brier Hill, PA!

Sandvik Mining, a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries, currently has an opening for a Gear Shop 1 at the Brier Hill, PA location.

As the Gear Shop 1 you will be responsible for:

- The disassembly of gear boxes from Sandvik equipment and you must be able to progress into basic assembly functions with minimal training.

- Additional capability will be developed to inspect, order material, and assemble gear boxes.

- The workshop services the aftermarket for the geographical area. This role will interact with a supervisor as well as a peer group, and in addition, customers and various technical services personnel will work with the group.

- It is expected that you will have the mechanical aptitude to contribute to disassembly and up-front processing immediately. You must show the capability to progress through basic assembly functions quickly.

- Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings is required along with the flexibility to do conduct shift work.

Experience

- Minimum of 3 years of related experience with industry-specific equipment.

Education

- Technical diploma or certification in a mechanical or electrical discipline.

- The flexibility to do shift work is required

- Works overtime/weekends as required

- Upholds safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements
