Field Superintendent Underground Utility

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Supervisor to lead our team in Underground Fiber Optic Install. Looking for high-quality service and support in the field. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with Directional Drill operation. Must have Experience in this field and good references

. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety standards are met, and providing guidance to technicians in the field.

Duties

- Supervise and coordinate the activities to ensure efficient operations.

- Current project is starting in Batavia Il and surrounding towns

- Full Season work with weather related days

- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

- Schedule all work and conduct checks that work is completed on time.

- Provide training and support to team members on best practices for installation and maintenance.

- Communicate effectively with clients via telephone and telecommunication systems to address service needs.

- Maintain accurate records of work performed Must have Computer experience tracking work, and effective communication with customer and management team

- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving service delivery and operational efficiency.

- Operate Experience is required operating Vermeer drills, locating, calling in services, setting handholes, fiber install and small equipment

- Must have a clean driving record CDL preferred

Requirements

- Proven experience as a General Foreman or Superintendent

- or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various tools and equipment.

- Experience with mapping

- Experience white lining and calling locates in and understanding Julie law

- Experience projecting work ahead to move forward

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to telecommunicate effectively.

- Computer experience generating reports

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality service.

- CDL is a plus

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Experience:

- Horizontal drilling: 2 years (Required)

- Superintendent : 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

- CDL (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Bartlett, IL 60103 (Preferred)
