Summary

As a Utility Locating Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our utility services. This position is essential for accurately identifying and marking utility lines to prevent damage during commercial construction projects in the Washington Metro area.

Responsibilities

- Conduct utility line locating services to identify and mark underground utilities accurately.

- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.

- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure safe excavation practices around utility lines.

- Utilize specialized equipment for utility detection and mapping.

- Maintain accurate records of utility locations and site conditions for reporting purposes.

- Assist in field service operations as needed to support project execution.

Requirements

- Proven experience in utility locating or a related field is preferred.

- Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety protocols.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively.

- Familiarity with land surveying techniques is a plus.

- Experience operating backhoes or similar equipment is beneficial but not required.
