What You’ll Do
As a
Field Engineerwith Corrosion Service, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our field services are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. You'll take ownership of accurate reporting, timesheet and expense submissions, and inventory tracking—all while maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety protocols.
From supporting monthly safety meetings and compliance audits to collaborating with technical staff and fostering a positive, respectful team environment, your contribution will help shape our high-performing culture.
This role is for someone who thrives in dynamic conditions, enjoys working outdoors in remote areas, and is ready to travel extensively across Canada and the U.S. If you’re organized, hands-on, safety-conscious, and ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you.
- In projects throughout Canada and the USA, complete cathodic protection surveys on pipelines and other infrastructure.
- Learn to collect, interpret, and understand key data as it relates to cathodic protection, DC interference, and voltage gradients, such as analyzing waveform oscilloscope measurements, measuring soil resistivities, gathering pipe-to-soil potential and rectifier data, and conducting continuity testing.
- Locate pipelines and describe physical onsite characteristics for subsequent analysis.
- Ensure that all required technical reporting is submitted to the Team Leads/Project Engineers.
- Complete tasks related to field testing and installation of various Cathodic Protection and AC mitigation projects.
- Graduate of an accredited engineering program and be registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT). Eligibility to obtain a P.Eng. license or holding a P.Eng. designation is required.
- Willingness and desire to work in various weather conditions, spending long days in remote areas.
- NACE CP2 certification is an asset.
- Good oral, written, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative, be adaptable, and work in a team environment.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
