As a Field Engineer/Technologist, you’ll be at the heart of our operations—partnering with Field Operations and Production Engineering teams to unlock production potential and optimize performance. You’ll also collaborate with Facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, all while championing a data-driven decision-making culture.

- Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts

- Provide technical day-to-day support to field operations on production optimization, troubleshooting and regulatory requirements
- Manage smaller facility capital projects, optimization initiatives ensuring designs meet expected reliability performance such as runtime
- Gather data and drawings and compile MOC packages supporting Facility Engineer and follow the process through to execution
- Define operating envelope and limits to meet regulatory compliance as well as designs/specifications of equipment within assigned facilities
- Provide technical support for day-to-day facility reliability and optimization
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for each major facility and assist in meeting established KPI’s
- Participate in development plans to ensure capacity constraints are considered
- Utilize technology to improve operability and mitigate risk while providing training and education for facility staff
- Use LSS (Lean Six Sigma) continuous improvement tools, such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), to quantify and prioritize risks to health & safety, assets, production, environment, and reputation
- Minimum of 4 years of industry experience in Engineering or Operational role
- Engineering Degree or Engineering Technology Diploma is required
- Eligible for registration as a P. Eng with EGBC, or as a P.Tech with ASTTBC
- Ability and desire to progress to Lean Six Sigma Green belt within 2 years
- Possesses knowledge in economics, financial reporting, controls, and ethical practices
- Demonstrate a high level of communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to adapt to frequently changing external/internal requirements by adjusting current and developing new business practices
- Demonstrates strong commitment to safety and environmental performance
- Proven experience within the Natural Gas industry with a focus on Shallow Cut processes, gas sweetening, and sulphur recovery

Note: This is a BC based position; the salary range is estimated to be between $86,960 – $125,800.
