About The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Technician to support day-to-day facility operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintenance, repairs, small infrastructure modifications, and operational support to keep facilities and production spaces running safely and efficiently.
The Facilities Technician will perform a wide variety of tasks including minor electrical and mechanical work, basic plumbing and HVAC support, workspace modifications, furniture installation, and general facility upkeep. This role will also support manufacturing teams with facility-related needs and assist with receiving, inventory, and equipment movement when required.
This position requires a highly reliable, proactive individual who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and supporting a team in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform general maintenance and repair work across facility systems and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and assist with inspections of facility equipment.
- Support maintenance of lighting, receptacles, doors, hardware, and general building systems.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and organization in mechanical rooms, storage areas, and workspaces.
- Support small construction and infrastructure modifications including minor MEP routing.
- Install and modify facility infrastructure such as cable trays, conduit, piping supports, and equipment mounts.
- Assemble and install office furniture, shelving, storage systems, and workstations.
- Support workspace changes including desk installs, shop layout adjustments, and small renovations.
- Assist Facilities Engineers with field work and implementation of infrastructure improvements.
- Support manufacturing teams with facility-related needs including utility connections, equipment moves, and work area setup.
- Assist with equipment staging, installation support, and production space reconfiguration.
- Help maintain operational readiness of facility systems supporting manufacturing operations.
- Assist with receiving, inventory tracking, and storage of facility materials and spare parts.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move equipment and materials when required.
- Maintain organized storage areas for tools, supplies, and facility equipment.
- Support implementation of safe work practices and EHS requirements during facility work.
- Assist with maintaining safety equipment, signage, and facility safety infrastructure.
- Help maintain safe working conditions in mechanical spaces and facility work areas.
- Report facility hazards, safety risks, and maintenance issues.
- Assist with coordinating contractor access and escorting vendors performing facility work.
- Support facilities team during inspections, maintenance visits, and service work.
- Verify work areas are prepared for contractor activities.
- 3–7 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, construction trades, or similar hands-on roles.
- Experience performing general building repairs including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or carpentry work.
- Comfortable operating tools, equipment, and shop tools for fabrication or installation tasks.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or production environments preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and take ownership of repairs and improvements.
- Comfortable operating forklifts or willing to obtain certification.
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple small tasks across a facility.
- Highly reliable and responsive to operational needs.
- Trade background (electrician, HVAC technician, plumber, carpenter, or similar).
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial facilities.
- Familiarity with basic electrical systems, compressed air, or facility utilities.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs or CMMS systems.
- OSHA safety training or other safety certifications.
- Facility issues are addressed quickly with minimal disruption to operations.
- Workspaces remain safe, organized, and operational for manufacturing teams.
- Small infrastructure changes and facility modifications are executed efficiently.
- Facilities team can move quickly on projects and operational needs.
