PURPOSES SPECIFIC TO THE POSITION
Employee will fulfill a wide range of responsibilities in the pursuit of maintaining the cooperative's facilities and grounds at a high standard.
RELATIONSHIPS
•Reports to Facilities Maintenance Supervisor or Support Services Manager, as applicable.
•Directs none unless specifically authorized to do so from time to time.
•Cooperates or coordinates with all persons, within and outside the cooperative, as deemed necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
•Assists in the maintenance of facilities and grounds in a manner consistent with an organized maintenance program.
•Performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance to HVAC equipment, lighting systems, exhaust fans, equipment/tools, and office equipment. Minor Plumbing and electrical skills will also be necessary.
•Requires ability and willingness to work in a constant state of alertness due to safety sensitive implications for self and others.
•Possesses basic computer/software skills as necessary to create, maintain, interpret, and report upon various information.
•Assists with quality control and inventory programs of office supplies, tools, and safety products.
•Must maintain proper license or certification and safely operate various applicable vehicles, equipment, and tools.
•Expected to maintain well-organized workspaces and storage locations and perform neat paperwork.
•Attends and participates in various meetings.
•Performs other duties as requested or required by the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Frequently stands and walks.
•Requires willingness to work aloft from ladders or other lifts.
•Frequently sits on forklift and other types of equipment.
•Frequently bends, stoops, kneels, crouches, twists, and squats.
•Frequently lifts light and medium loads. Occasionally lifts heavy loads with assistance.
•Frequently handles and carries materials.
•Frequently pushes and pulls furniture and other materials.
•Frequently reaches above shoulder level.
•Frequently climbs stairs and ladders.
•Frequently relies on the full functionality of the five basic senses (touch, taste, smell, hear, see) including the ability to distinguish a full range of colors. These along with manual dexterity are required to maintain proper safety while performing the job requirements.
