Job Description:
Job Summary
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring optimal function of all facilities and the systems that they contain. Performs inspection, maintenance, and repair of all owned and leased facilities.
Responsibilities
•Perform routine inspections and repairs on facilities and facility equipment (i.e., building exteriors, HVAC units, lighting systems, water heaters, RO systems and Ice makers)
•Utilize CMMS program to complete work orders, preventive maintenance, inspections and track maintenance
•Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues (i.e., lighting, outlets, systems controls, ventilation systems, and heaters
•Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues (i.e., water heaters, sinks, toilets, urinals, and water lines)
•Perform scheduled routine preventive maintenance on facilities and facilities equipment (i.e., HVAC units, water heaters, septic systems, ice makers, RO systems, ATV's, and earth moving equipment
•Ensure maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of outdoor areas and yard
•Direct or assist the Facilities Assistants’ duties when requested
•Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in a facility maintenance or relevant fields, required
•Technical or vocational degree or training in facility maintenance or related field, preferred.
•Maintain a current, valid driver's license, required
•NFPA 70E certification, preferred
•Willing to obtain certifications to operate required equipment (i.e., skid loader, manlift, forklift), preferred
•Good communication skills, can effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
•Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, able to diagnose and formulate viable solutions to issues.
•Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb ladders throughout the work shift
•Must be physically able to safely perform duties indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
•Proficient working in Microsoft Office 365 applications and capable of learning other work-related software programs when needed
