Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Structural Steel Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, aligning, and securing structural steel components that form the backbone of commercial, industrial, and large-scale infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure that steel frameworks are assembled accurately, safely, and efficiently, contributing to the successful completion of complex construction endeavors. Responsibilities

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine steel installation requirements.

- Safely operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts to lift and position steel components with precision.

- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, weld, bolt, and secure steel pieces according to project specifications.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades like plumbing and electrical teams to coordinate installation sequences.

- Conduct thorough construction inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and quality benchmarks.

- Assist in fabrication processes when necessary, including measuring, cutting, and fitting steel parts on-site or in the shop.

- Maintain detailed records of work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered during installation.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a structural steel installer or similar role within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction management principles.

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation required for steel installation tasks.

- Familiarity with construction estimating, inspection procedures, and safety protocols.

- Experience working with related trades such as masonry, roofing, drywall (plastering), glass installation, or fixture installation is a plus.

- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret complex schematics related to steel fabrication and assembly.

- Excellent physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights safely.
