Duties

- Manage daily shop operations, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

- Oversee production planning, coordinate materials, labor, and equipment for optimal workflow.

- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline fabrication processes.

- Supervise and mentor shop personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.

- Coordinate with supply chain teams to analyze logistics, manage inventory levels, and optimize supply chain management strategies for timely delivery of materials.

- Conduct quality control inspections throughout fabrication stages to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

- Utilize manufacturing analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies for operational excellence.

- Lead efforts in mechanical knowledge application, assembly processes, and plant management to improve overall shop performance.

Experience

- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in structural steel or heavy fabrication industries.

- Demonstrated ability to implement lean manufacturing techniques and drive continuous process improvements.

- Knowledge of supply chain analytics, operations management, and supply chain management practices.

- Hands-on experience with quality control procedures, mechanical assembly, and process optimization in a manufacturing setting.

- Leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively while promoting safety and operational excellence.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
