Structural Steel Loader

Job Brief:

Doherty Steel is searching for structural steel Loaders who will utilize equipment and overhead cranes to help load structural steel onto flatbed trucks to be transported to job sites.

Loader Responsibilities:

- Adhere to safety protocols and practices

- Coordinate with other team members as required

- Use of overhead cranes to position material for loading onto a flatbed trailer

- Ability to read and understand product data sheets

Requirements:

- Operation of material handling equipment and overhead cranes.

- Assist with loading of fabricated steel

- Ability to work overtime when necessary

- Good work ethic

- Ability to follow instructions

- Ability to pay proper attention to detail

- Work smart, safe, and adheres to PPE requirements

- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions

- Strong hand/eye coordination

- Lift and carry upwards of 5O pounds

- Ability to kneel, bend, and crouch for a period of time

- Ability to stand in one position for extended period of time
