Overview
Seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to support and oversee oil and gas remediation and reclamation projects throughout New Mexico. This position requires strong knowledge of New Mexico oil and gas environmental regulations, proven experience working with state agencies, and the ability to produce high-quality regulatory documentation. Additional labor-only responsibilities may be required of Environmental Specialist as needed.

I understand that I am responsible for notifying my supervisor of a missed punch in a timely manner. I understand that I am not permitted to alter my time, and doing so is grounds for termination. Multi-Departmental Needs – I understand that I may be required to drive other company vehicles for customer coverage, including but not limited to hot oil, hydrovac, kill, pump, roll-off, end-dump, vacuum, winch, or other trucks as added to the Warrior fleet.Zero Tolerance Workplace – I understand that Warrior Technologies is a “Zero Tolerance” workplace, and a positive drug or alcohol screen will result in immediate termination. Safe Driving – I understand that I am expected to always practice safe driving while representing Warrior Technologies. Safety Training – I understand that I am responsible for timely completion of all safety training required of me. PPE – I understand that I am required to always wear all issued personal protective equipment as required by the task and customer. Accident Reporting – I understand that I am responsible for reporting all accidents, incidents, and near-misses immediately to my supervisor. - Oversee and manage environmental remediation and reclamation projects across New Mexico
- Ensure full compliance with New Mexico environmental rules and regulations, including applicable state and federal requirements
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with New Mexico environmental agencies (e.g., NMED and other regulatory bodies)
- Prepare, review, and submit detailed closure reports and regulatory documentation
- Conduct site assessments, monitor remediation activities, and verify reclamation progress

- Serve as a technical resource for environmental compliance and project planning
- Communicate project status, regulatory requirements, and findings clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, DOT, local jurisdiction standards).
- Lead daily safety meetings (tailgate/toolbox talks).
- Ensure all staff use proper PPE and follow safe excavation and confined space entry procedures.
- Investigate and document any incidents, near misses, or equipment damage. Team Leadership & Training
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and hands-on training to crew members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend development opportunities.
- Promote a positive work culture emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and safety.
- Strong working knowledge of New Mexico environmental oil and gas regulations and permitting requirements
- Proven experience working directly with New Mexico environmental agencies
- Demonstrated ability to prepare thorough, well-documented closure reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience overseeing environmental remediation and reclamation projects
