This position will ensure corporate compliance and implement best practices within the various environmental and regulatory programs for Gulfport Energy Corporation. The role is envisioned to be a liaison between field operations and the corporate environmental team, providing technical assistance and training to the field teams as well as working with environmental team to improve processes, maximize efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Coordinate between Regulatory, Environmental, and Operations teams regarding activities that impact environmental and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to operational or equipment modifications, permitting requirements, LDAR programs, and scheduling of various inspections.
- Facilitate engine testing and compliance, notifications and reporting
- Manage operational field data management, including periodic review of field inspections, equipment inventory, methane and emissions tracking, etc.
- Assist with preparation and submission of required annual reports, including gathering data for GHG reports, OOOOa/b, Ohio Permit Evaluation Reports (PERs), etc.
- Utilizing analytical data of environmental operations reports, such as emission events, liquids unloading, LDAR leaks, etc. to assist Operations to determine operational impacts and drive continued improvement of emissions management and mitigation
- Facilitate requirements associated with the Gas Certification Program, including gathering data for annual audits, coordinating field audits, coordinating aerial surveys, etc.
- Periodic field environmental audits, inspections, engine testing, LDAR inspections, etc.
- Communicate with local, state, and federal agencies regarding air and environmental inquiries
- Conduct environmental training at monthly Operations EH&S (Safety) Meetings
- Coordinate certain sampling, including H2S sampling, oil and gas samples for extended analysis, etc.

- Competency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with various regulatory agency software, including eGGRT, CEDRI, Ohio eBusiness, etc. preferred- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene with 2+ years of Environmental experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry setting with a strong safety and environmental background is preferred
- Knowledge and experience with facilities and/or process engineering preferred
- Experience with federal and state (Ohio and Oklahoma) environmental and air regulations pertaining to upstream oil and gas production preferred
- Experience conducting environmental audits and inspections
This job operates in both a professional office environment and a field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, iPads, iPhones, laptop computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc. This job also operates in a field environment with various equipment, dust, debris, and varying weather conditions. This role is expected to spend equal time between the office and field locations to support Operations.
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Ability to drive for long periods of time, walk and/or stand for long periods of time, perform work in all types of weather conditions.
This is a full-time salaried position. Days and hours of work will vary due to workload/needs of the company. This position requires an individual who can answer emergency calls at any time. This employee must be available to come to work during off-hours and/or weekends to address emergency conditions or other situations that may arise.
Frequent local travel to the field and periodic travel out of town/state is expected for this position.
