At LCRA, we are looking for an Energy Services Electrician to join our team! As a part of our maintenance team, you will maintain the critical infrastructure of the LCRA Fleet of Generating facilities, including traveling to job sites in La Grange, Bastrop, Marble Falls, and Maxwell. We're looking for a self-motivated and energetic person to perform electrical work in high/low voltage environments including maintenance, inspection, repair, testing, adjusting, installation and /or removal of electrical distribution equipment. You will be trusted to:

- Install, maintain, remove, inspect, test, and repair electric motors, generators, electrical circuit breakers, transformers, switches, communication systems, and electrical and electronic control equipment and wiring.

- Locate and repair failures in electrical and electronic circuits and equipment; install test apparatus on all electrical equipment. Implement solutions to electrical and electronic control system problems.

- Perform maintenance, repair and operational / diagnostic tests as required on all power apparatus in power plants, or other installations. Record test results. Develop and prepare summary of test results in reports.

- Read/interpret blueprints and drawings, consults manuals, parts lists, etc., to assist in performing work. Keep drawings and schematics up to date and accurate.

- Perform work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations (substations, power plants, etc.) as scheduled.


You qualify with:

- Four or more years of experience in maintenance and/or construction of electrical power generation, transmission, distribution, substation and control equipment, and/or other types of electrical equipment, including experience reading blueprints or other relevant experience.

- A degree(s) in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, industrial maintenance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

- Class A Texas commercial driver's license or equivalent from another state required for incumbents with heavy equipment operation and transportation responsibilities.
