At LCRA, we are seeking a Power Plant Operator for our new reciprocating internal combustion engines in Maxwell, TX! These RICE machines are peaking power generation to the Texas grid to provide power and reliability to fellow Texans. This role involves supporting 24/7 maintenance and operations at the Timmerman Power plant in collaboration with a dedicated professional team. You will be trusted to:

- Monitor and operate all plant equipment according to operations guidelines and specifications.

- Isolate and tag out equipment for maintenance.

- Complete and submit accurate logs and workorders.

- Perform unit walk downs (makes rounds) to monitor operating equipment.

- Perform scheduled maintenance and basic repairs on plant equipment and systems.

You qualify with:

- Four or more years of experience in the inspection, monitoring and maintenance of power plant and/or coal yard equipment, including the isolation and tagging of systems or other relevant experience.

- A degree(s) in electronics, electrical systems, power plant operations or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

- Driver's license

- Experience with operation and maintenance of power plant mechanical and electrical systems

- Knowledge of processes and technical drawings related to power generation facilities

- Safety driven professional proficient with the LOTO process

- Proficient in communicating optimally with team members, supervision /management, and external organizations under normal and emergency conditions

- Proficient in following operating procedures/guidelines, safety and environmental rules and regulations
