The Commercial Service Electrician plays a critical role in maintaining clean energy systems across ReVision Energy’s service territories. This role is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and commercial electrical systems, including solar PV, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging installations. Commercial Service Electricians are fully licensed professionals who contribute directly to high-quality service execution. They work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate under the direction of a Lead Electrician on multi-person service sites. This role is accountable for completing work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, while supporting clear customer communication and accurate, timely service documentation. Commercial Service Electricians are trusted team members who bring strong technical skills, professionalism, and a proactive approach to the Commercial Service Electrical team.
Role and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Respond to electrical service calls including photovoltaic systems, battery storage, and electric vehicle chargers
- Diagnose issues, troubleshoot systems, communicate with technical support, and complete electrical repairs
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance independently or in coordination with a Lead Electrician
- Assist in remote troubleshooting and system analysis as needed
- Follow direction from the Lead Electrician regarding job scope, workflow, and prioritization when working on team-based service calls
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers via phone, email, or in person regarding service findings, expectations, and next steps
- Complete accurate, detailed, and timely service documentation, including:
- Clear written summaries of work performed, findings, and recommendations
- Thorough photo documentation suitable for customer-facing service reports
- Complete and accurate updates to internal CRM and service tracking systems
- Support timely customer updates and efficient billing turnaround through high-quality service reporting
- Gather required information and documentation needed for warranty claims and manufacturer support
- Ensure general site preparation, organization, and clean-up is conducted to company standards
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations
- Travel to service sites across assigned territories, including regular daily vehicle travel and occasional overnight stays as required by project needs and scheduling
- Collaborate effectively with apprentices, Lead Electricians, and cross-functional teams including Service, Operations, Sales, Development, and Engineering
- Contribute ideas, observations, and feedback to help improve service processes, safety practices, and system performance
- Other duties as assigned
- Active electrical license (Limited House Wiring [ME only], Journeyperson, or Master Electrician)
- OSHA 10 safety course
- Solar, battery storage, or EV charging system experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willing and able to travel regularly to service sites; this role includes significant daily vehicle travel and occasional overnight stays, coordinated in advance with the Service Scheduler
- Ability to work independently while also following guidance and direction from a Lead Electrician
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate documentation and reporting
- Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including email and web-based applications; ability to use CRM and service reporting tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work with tools, work in crawl spaces, and work on rooftops in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights
- Strong teamwork skills with a professional, customer-focused attitude
- Safety conscious — committed to following and reinforcing safety rules with supervisors, co-workers, and customers
- OSHA 10 NABCEP certification
- Other manufacturer certification/training
