Role Description

This is a contract remote role for a Drilling Monitoring Engineer. The Drilling Monitoring Engineer will monitor drilling systems, troubleshoot issues, analyze data, and provide technical support. The individual will play a key role in condition monitoring and ensuring optimal performance of drilling operations.

Job description

• Efficiently communicates with clients to obtain all required data for preparing Well Operations Programs, including offset well data, well trajectory, surface and well location, well proposal, and related risk assessments.

• Monitors RT data from rigs for any indications of NPT/Event during operations.

• Monitors and performs analytical reporting based on defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Demonstrates an understanding of drilling operations performance KPIs.

• Identifies well control and pipe stuck events, conducting subsequent analysis.

• Manages drilling hydraulics and Equivalent Circulating Density (ECD).

• Conducts Swab & Surge Analysis to ensure safe tripping and casing operations.

• Performs Torque & Drag Analysis, providing insights to clients for proper hole cleaning.

• Observes rig operations and alerts relevant personnel of any deviations from the Well Operations Program.

• Conducts daily quality checks on entered data for assigned rig(s).

• Documents lessons learned, important events, decisions, and best practices during operations monitoring, using insights to inform future decisions.

Conducts offset well analysis.

• Prepares Daily/Monthly/End-of-Section analytics reports for assigned rig(s).

• Prepares and submits End-of-Well reports.

• Produces operational Non-Productive Time (NPT) reports with root cause analysis.

• Ensures timely operations reporting and submission of all reports and documents as per the scope.

• Facilitates effective communication with involved parties (clients, data providers, rig site, etc.).

• Clearly understands the terms and conditions of the scope of work with clients and data providers, communicating as necessary.

• Actively participates in daily operational meetings.

• Utilizes Landmark's software to perform T&D analysis

Skills: Drilling Engineering, Mud Logging, Well Control

Experience: 3 + Years

Education: Bachelors

Required: English

Spanish or Arabic: Preferred
