BLOC Resources is seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Documentation Specialist 2 to support right-of-way and land acquisition operations for major utility infrastructure projects. This role is essential to ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of land documentation across multiple active projects within the Alabama Power service territory.

- Maintain, organize, and manage both electronic and physical project files in accordance with established land procedures and compliance standards
- Ensure all documentation is accurately entered, tracked, and updated within document management systems
- Perform detailed quality control reviews to verify completeness, accuracy, and consistency of records
- Manage document lifecycle processes including intake, filing, retrieval, archiving, and final closeout
- Prepare and assemble land acquisition packages for Right-of-Way agents, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate
- Review executed legal documents (e.g., easements, deeds, agreements) for compliance and correctness
- Generate pre-survey lists and assist in early-stage acquisition planning activities
- Coordinate and track landowner communications, including certified mail and documentation follow-up
?? Title Research & Public Records Support
- Conduct title research using online systems and courthouse records to verify land ownership and property details
- Interpret legal land descriptions, deeds, easements, and other conveyance documents
- Perform landowner verification and resolve discrepancies through research and documentation review
- Support in-person courthouse visits for document retrieval and recordation when digital access is unavailable
- Provide administrative support to land acquisition teams across multiple projects and regions
- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate internal and external communications
- Process invoices, assist with timekeeping, and support general operational workflows
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams to ensure alignment on project documentation and timelines
- 2–5 years of experience in document control, administrative support, land acquisition, or related field
- Experience with title research OR strong ability to read and interpret legal land documents
- Background supporting utility, engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience working with document management systems and databases
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and consistency
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies and ensure documentation accuracy
- Organization & Time Management: Effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to research, interpret, and validate complex land records
