POSITION: One (1) - Gas Service Dispatcher

DEPARTMENT: Gas Service Dispatch

LOCATION: Brockton, MA

STARTING RATE OF PAY:$45.35 hourly

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Gas Service Dispatcher is responsible for processing the gas service orders for the company. These include, but are not limited to: gas emergencies, gas odors, requests for gas repair service, meter turn ons, meter shut offs, meter investigations, and meter exchanges. The department maintains a 24/7 operation and is responsible for answering the “emergency police and fire lines”.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. This position will require the satisfactory completion of company training programs and oral exams must be successfully passed.

2. Qualified applicants must pass a pre-employment/pre-placement drug test in accordance with D.O.T. regulations. Random tests will be given.

3. Availability to work 24/7 shift work. Shifts are required.

4. Progression periods for rating required

5. Two plus years of Emergency Dispatching Experience – EMS/Police/Fire/Gas or Utility Dispatch experience required.

6. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
