Director of Business Development leads the development and execution of strategies that drive growth, revenue, and market expansion. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in building strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving cross-functional initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
o Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to meet organizational objectives.
o Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances within the hydrogen and energy sectors.
o Identify emerging market trends and competitive landscape to position the company for growth.
o Work closely with regulatory bodies and policymakers to navigate permitting and compliance requirements related to hydrogen extraction.
o Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners.
o Negotiate, structure, and close high-value partnerships and deals.
o Develop business cases, financial models, and proposals to support investment decisions and partnership opportunities.
o Represent Gold H2 at industry conferences, networking events, and stakeholder meetings.
o Identify new markets, channels, and customer segments to expand the company’s footprint and generate new revenue streams.
o Evaluate opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
o Lead negotiations for commercial agreements, joint ventures, and licensing opportunities.
o Lead and mentor the business development team, fostering a high-performance culture.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and finance, to ensure alignment on goals and execution.
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of business development initiatives.
o Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on progress and strategic recommendations.
o Conduct market research and competitive analysis to refine Gold H2’s value proposition and identify emerging trends.
o Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
o 8+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
o Proven success in driving revenue growth, securing strategic partnerships, and managing complex negotiations.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
o Exceptional communication, executive presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
o Expertise in strategic planning, market analysis, and business forecasting.
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
· Experience in startups and biotech and/or energy industries.
· Proficiency in CRM software and business analytics tools.
