Diesel Mechanic (Field)

Performs advanced mechanical functions for designated District under minimal supervision.

Essential duties include the following:

- Champions the company’s H.S.E.&T program in all aspects of work performed to provide quality service in a safe and efficient manner.

- Primary Duties are performed at remote work sites.

- Troubleshoots mechanical entities to determine problems and offer improvements when necessary.

- Performs periodic maintenance services to all CES equipment and related sub-components in the shop or on the job site.

- May be responsible for maintaining parts inventory on the job site.

- May be assigned a vehicle and must maintain assigned vehicle according to Company standards.

- Performs day-to-day repairs on CES equipment as scheduled and required.

- Maintains work orders and records with sufficient background to ensure requirements for quality have been met.

- Provides mechanical assistance to other mechanics as required.

- Practices good housekeeping keeping.

- Performs any and all job duties as assigned by supervisory personnel including general labor, as necessary.

- This position is required to perform safety sensitive functions as defined in the CES Drug and Alcohol Plan.
