POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Design Engineer to take ownership of custom metal component projects from initial concept through fabrication release. This is a high-ownership, production-facing role that requires a technically rigorous, self-directed individual capable of delivering accurate designs under tight timelines with minimal supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

– Design and draft custom sheet metal components using Solid Edge, including parametric 3D models and production-ready 2D drawings

– Interpret project requirements and develop efficient, manufacturable design solutions from concept through fabrication release

– Generate precise flat patterns, bills of materials, and fabrication drawings for production handoff

– Partner with the production team to validate designs against manufacturing constraints and quality standards

– Manage multiple concurrent projects and reprioritize dynamically in response to urgent production needs

– Identify and implement continuous improvements in design workflow and fabrication processes

Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

– Minimum of three years of experience in mechanical design engineering within a manufacturing environment

– Proficiency in Solid Edge or SolidWorks; must be willing to transition to Solid Edge

– Strong knowledge of sheet metal layout, forming, and fabrication processes

– Parametric design experience

– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

– Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
