About the Role:
UPS Industrial Servicesis seeking skilled and experienced
Curriculum Developerto join our team. The Curriculum Developer is responsible for the strategic design, development, and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive training curricula that uphold organizational compliance, drive operational excellence, and enhance workforce preparedness. This role involves translating complex policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols into clear, engaging, and effective educational materials. The Curriculum Developer collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), compliance officers, and operational executives to ensure that all training content complies with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.

- Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments across roles, trades, and project types.
- Design, develop, and maintain construction-focused training materials, including site orientations, safety modules, SOPs, and equipment-specific instruction.
- Collaborate with field leadership and safety teams to ensure training reflects real-world practices and jobsite challenges.
- Partner with compliance, legal, HR, and operations to align training with company policies, regulatory requirements, and client obligations.
- Deliver training through diverse formats, including classroom instruction, hands-on field sessions, and digital learning platforms.
- Facilitate onboarding programs for craft workers, operators, and supervisory personnel.
- Ensure training meets OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 1910 standards, as well as internal and project-specific requirements.
- Create engaging instructional content such as toolbox talks, meeting packets, presentations, job aids, and training videos.
- Administer knowledge checks, skills assessments, and field evaluations to validate learning and competency.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, field observations, and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate training records to support compliance, audits, and client requirements.
- Recommend and implement improvements to training methods and materials based on feedback, audits, and industry best practices.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies to keep training relevant.
- Coach and support field leaders in reinforcing training and ensuring knowledge transfer on the job.
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, and incident reviews to identify training gaps and address root causes.

Education and Experience
: (Minimum and preferred education and experience to effectively perform this role. Must achieve one of the requirements below.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum & Instruction, Organizational Development, Training & Development, or a related field (required).
- 2+ years of curriculum development, instructional design, or training delivery, preferably in a regulated or industrial environment.- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Learning & Development, or Organizational Leadership (preferred).
- Coursework or certification in Instructional Systems Design (ISD), ADDIE, or adult learning principles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with compliance training, regulatory education, or industry-specific standards preferred.
- Ongoing professional development in educational technology, eLearning tools, and training methodologies expected.
- 2+ years of curriculum development, instructional design, or training delivery, preferably in a regulated or industrial environment.- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and construction safety practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, and e-learning tools.
- Ability to travel to job sites and deliver training in a field environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Work Environment
:

- This position is in an office environment with travel to the field, requiring travel to, though, and in the field construction sites in outdoor ambient conditions, including extreme weather, uneven surfaces, heights, and locations where chemicals and flammable material are being used, processed, and treated.
- Travel may be required for up to 35% of the time, depending on business needs.
- Work environments include office settings, field locations, and manufacturing, chemical, or refining facilities, which may involve exposure to loud noise, hazardous substances, temperature extremes, and confined spaces.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and manipulate objects weighing at least 45 pounds consistently.
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and uneven surfaces.
- Must have clear and accurate vision and hearing to perform tasks and communicate effectively safely.
- Must possess sufficient physical dexterity to bend, stoop, reach, and handle tools, materials, and equipment regularly.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods as required by the task or work environment.
