Core Logging Geologist

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Core Logging Geologist to work on-site for one of our valued clients in the mining industry. This role involves hands-on geological work in dynamic mining environments, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Work safely and responsibly to prevent harm to self and others.

- Understand and follow verbal and written work instructions and safety procedures.

- Operate on-road and off-road vehicles safely.

- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly.

- Identify, control, and report safety or environmental hazards.

- Perform core logging and sampling with precision.

- Compile and interpret mapping and assay data in 3D software, correlating with existing models.

Qualifications

- Education: B.S. in Geology or related field.

- Experience: Minimum 3 years in core logging and sampling.

- Knowledge of: Siliciclastic depositional environments, Skarn Cu/Au mineralization in porphyry systems.

- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and high energy.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs throughout the day.

- Software experience with Leapfrog and Acquire preferred.

- Previous mining experience and Surface MSHA certification preferred.

- Valid driver’s license required.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
